The Silence of the Rams

As gas prices spiral ever higher, the driving public is slowly coming to the realization that the good old days are not coming back. Today's incredibly high $4.00 gas price is tomorrow's "I remember when gas was only four bucks a gallon." I heard today that gas is already over $5.00/gal. in California for certain grades of fuel.

So, if you're an owner of a fat and sassy SUV, what do you do? You try to pass it off on some poor guy who has always wanted an SUV, quick, before it loses all resale value. Looking at Craig's List for the McAllen area, you can see an abundance of Rams and Tahoes: anything with three tons of weight and a V-8 engine is being sold.

My advice is stay away from them. A big SUV might have been a status symbol last year, but not anymore. Small is the new big and everyone with a Ram Hemi is going to be trying to unload it on the first sucker who comes along so they can use the money to buy a Toyota Prius.
